![]() ![]() ![]() In 2007, Tally Hall was recruited to create the soundtrack for the Playhouse Disney short series “Happy Monster Band.” They eventually got somewhat of a reputation in the children’s media industry their appearances, being 5 young men who were defined by the color of the ties they wore, made them easily identifiable to young children, including myself. The guys were well-liked by those who were familiar with them, but other than that, many people were still yet to know about the band. It was lighthearted and fun, like the band who created it, and kept up their wholesome yet somewhat eclectic public image. To put themselves out there, Tally Hall decided to film the Tally Hall Internet Show, or T.H.I.S. So, they rented a studio and released their album, which was met with underground success. The band, consisting of Rob Cantor (vocals/lead guitar,) Joe Hawley (vocals/rhythm guitar,) Zubin Sedghi (vocals/bass,) Andrew Horowitz (vocals/keys) and Ross Federman (drums) had met in college and decided they all had a passion for creating music, no matter how drastically different their majors were. In 2005, Tally Hall released their first studio album in Ann Arbor, Michigan- Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum. ![]()
